Opportunities for Members

Vendor opportunities:
Ironstone Ranch in Elizabethtown, PA is organizing an event for this summer and are looking for arts and craft vendors. The event is the Star Barn Raising Festival and will be July 2-4. The Star Barn was previously located in Dauphin County near the Harrisburg airport. We have purchased it and moved it to Lancaster County and are in the process of rebuilding the entire complex. The festival will be the actual raising of the main structure. Most of the out buildings are already up and in place. We are looking for vendors to come and sell their handmade items and possibly some who might be able to demonstration as well. They are looking for hand crafted baskets, hand made soaps, hand blown glass, pottery, hand made brooms, candles, etc. If interested in attending, please contact Jamileh Shoemaker jamilehs@ironstoneranch.com for more information.

The Landis Valley Museum Store is looking for new artists, working in the
Pennsylvania German tradition! The Museum interprets Pennsylvania German
Life and Culture from 1740 to 1940. They offer a consignment contract with a
70/30 split and monthly payouts. You retain full ownership of your property
and are welcome to take it out of the store whenever you need. While they
prefer a consignment arrangement, they are open to wholesale or a combination
of consignment and wholesale. They are also looking for instructors for our popular introductory craft workshops. Due to some recent requests, they are looking for instructors in Redware, Fraktur and Scherenschnitte, but will consider any traditional
craft.
Please contact Museum Store Manager, Terry Kreider c-tkreider@pa.gov to
arrange an appointment or for more information.
