Sign Up for the Spring Picnic and Apply to our Holiday Festival!

President’s Message:
Wow! Lots of great things are happening and they are happening at light speed. So here is the ticket. You do not want to miss out. Our 70 th annual Holiday Fine Art and Craft Festival date is confirmed. November 2 and November 3, 2019 are the dates and the applications are pouring in. (Deadline to save $10 on your show application is May 31, 2019) The show committee is moving forward to assure that our past customers and new customers alike know how great an event this is. Reading-Berks Guild of Craftsmen has always put their best foot forward and we need each one of our members to help us get the word out. Let your customers know you will be there, tell them about our website at rbcrafts.org and remind them to like us and follow us on Facebook. Another great way to make our Festival successful is when you volunteer. Working together is what makes this event successful and it can’t be successful without “YOU”!

Don’t forget to sign up for our summer picnic. It is simple; go to rbcrafts.org and tell us you are coming. Matt, Nancy, and Elaine have again graciously agreed to host this event and it is truly a beautiful way to spend a summer evening in the country with friends.

Another summer happening that is just around the corner is the Kutztown Folk Festival, a supporter of “Your Berks Craftsmen”. Did you hear the latest? Kudos go to the Kutztown Folk Festival for being voted # 2 of Cultural Festivals by USA Today. Reading-Berks Guild has known what a great festival it is and now everyone knows!

Hope to see you at our next general meeting on Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at 7:00 PM at the Goggleworks.

“You’ve achieved success in your field when you don’t know what you’re doing is work or play.” Warren Beatty
Your President, Barry L. Bennecoff

I want to give a shout out to our program manager at BCTV, Ambur Bernhard, for having so much fun while she was sharing her dancing talent participating at the Dancing with the Reading Stars. This was a fundraiser for the Yocum Institute for Arts Education and she surprised herself when she volunteered to do this. Way to go Ambur!
Our featured artist this month on “Your Berks Craftsmen” will be Carol Haile. So tune in on May 15 at 7:00 PM and we will learn about the beautiful art of “Calligraphy”.
