President’s Message:
And the count down is on……our 72nd annual juried Holiday Fine Art and Craft Festival presented by you, juried artists and craftsmen of RBG and PGC and invited craftsmen, is happening this weekend. No tricks just treats will be found this weekend at the Michael O’Pake Fieldhouse in Kutztown, Pennsylvania. This will be a great day for our patrons to start their Holiday shopping and the word is out that they can’t wait to see you.
We are continuing our tradition that we started several years ago by having our November general meeting on Sunday morning, October 30, 2022, at 9:00 AM, ahead of the festival opening at 10:00 AM. This year, we will be having our election of officers, who will serve for the next two years for your Guild. There will be no general meeting at the Goggleworks on November 1.
Matt Vardjan, program chairperson, has everything set up for our Holiday Party at the YellowHouse Hotel. The YellowHouse Hotel is beautifully decorated for the Holiday season and to celebrate with our members with the great food, great friendships and great fellowship is a true gift.
On a sadder note, I have to report that we have lost a special member and friend of our chapter, John Butch Imhoff of the Acoustic Road Show passed away. He loved our Guild and was always more than willing to help us with the entertainment at our Holiday Festival. He will be truly missed.
“Doubt whom you will but never doubt yourself”. Christian Nestell Bovee
Your President, Barry L. Bennecoff
PS. Can’t wait to catch up with you this weekend.

Our November Program will be the Election of Officers. The official November meeting will be on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at 9 AM, at the Kutztown University O’Pake Fieldhouse.

Shows:
Holiday Show is this coming weekend!
We will be setting up on Friday. Please do not come to set up before 2 PM, as the pipes and drapes, booth markings, electric etc need to be complete before the Fieldhouse is ready to accept you. Do not block the entrances to the Fieldhouse with your vehicle before 2 PM, we need that space to bring in the needed supplies!
If you are not in the show, please come and support your fellow members. Members are free, just show your badge!
Show Chair, Steve Hunter

Holiday Social:
Once again our holiday meeting will be at the Yellow House Hotel. They have great food and always have the place decorated to the 9’s! Our starting time this year will be an hour earlier than in previous years! We will be serving the meal promptly at 5:30. This is due to the shortage of help that so many restaurants are dealing with. This is a concession that had to be made as there is another group gathering that evening as well. As most of members that have attended the social in the past are retired, I felt this was a change we all could deal with. See you there!
Please sign up for the Holiday Social!
Programs Chair, Matt Vardjan
Media:
If you missed “Your Berks Craftsmen” this month you can still see the amazing show at rbcrafts.org or you can find it on BCTV.org. AND you will find it on YouTube also. Janet Fausnacht and Bubbles and Wren, Ron and Carol Wardell, Denise Wilz, Dan Christ and Steve Hunter, our show chairperson, all were on and did a great job talking about their respective craft and art. “Your Berks Craftsmen” this month highlighted our upcoming festival and proved to be another great way of promotion for our 72nd annual juried Holiday Fine Art and Craft Festival featuring You, our talented craftsmen and artists. In November I am planning our popular “Decorating for the Holidays” show. And who better than our wonderful craftsmen and artists to share an idea or two with our audience for this special time of year. “Your Berks Craftsmen” airs each month on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM. Until next time!
“Your Berks Craftsmen” Host,
Kay L. Bennecoff
